08/March/2009, Chandigarh
Yesterday, we all decided to make a trip to Morni Hills, just 2.5 hour bikeride away from chandigarh. Until 15 minutes before we were to go, I had no plans to join in because of some pending but not so important work but then I thought, what the heck.. lets just live the moment! And in 4 more minutes, I was good to wear a helmet… We were 5 guys and 3 girls on 4 bikes.
Then we spotted a tuck shop with a rural ‘chaarpoy’ – made of jute!
Then we brought some bottles of coke and some packs of chips and drove off! After ~45 minutes of bumpy hilly ride, we spotted a nice place with a nice view to relax.
There I spotted a strange plant, strange enough for a Botany Illiterate like me!
If your eyes surpass the dashing dude in white pyjama sitting next to an old world primate, you’ll notice 3 different forms of vegetation side by side!
Then when we were to reach Morni Hills, Honit had a brain fart and we turned the wheels to a nearby lake instead of Morni Hills! It was a downhill drive and we literally drove off without even igniting engines on! Just when we reached there, we threw our shoes off and ran into the pond-like thing called lake!
Just then, Pappu Pager came to us, bowed down and very gracefully presented us an object lying down near the edge of the pond!
We then looked all around us and found out that it was not just some muddy water at all! This was followed by a feet-scrubbing session!!
We then found an old temple and few cute Himachali kids…
Then we rode off and after a while we spotted Hills and Thrills Adventure Park! Great!
Then we decided to race back to University.
In the mid way, we stopped to grab a cup of Hot tea. There was a cute puppy and pappu and Vandna got a serious whim to check it for lice infection! Guess what, Pappu is allergic to water and he wanted to eat chips after caressing the cute dirty and possibly infected puppy!
After a tea brake, we moved on to follow the hilly curves…
We bore the spine breaking bumpy ride for another hour before we saw one of the most beautiful sights, just at the right time…
Set in a bright silver setting, the Gurudwara was very peaceful and the serenity of prayers held me spellbound as soon as I entered it.
Then we had community langar in which food is served to anyone and everyone coming at any time in the day. Then after reaching Chandigarh, we went to Auto Expo show in Sector 17.
Then we wnt back to University where we arranged for Passes to the Star Night organized by Student Union. Me and most of my friends found this so called ’star’ a bad mouthed, ill-mannered, illiterate, good for nothing but his voice punk.
So overall, it was a fun packed day…

It was nice to see all this places back. That place is awesome.
hey…Nice one there yet again!
Liked reading about it all.
Good to have some fun time like this but be careful about the fun ride scheduled on May 10, 2009 at 10 am. Good luck
